Bike It Now! Our Bikes

We are located directly behind the iconic Oliver’s in the Historic precinct of Clyde. The aim of our business is to provide for all your cycling requirements whether they be constructing a five day itinerary on the Otago Central Rail Trail or a half day trip along our famous Millennium river track to Alexandra and back to Clyde via the Rail Trail. Our Trek Roscoe 7's are awesome, we are the only company in NZ with a dedicated Trek hire fleet.

Our bike guru's will spend quality time making sure your bike is the correct one for you, no matter whether it is ½ day hire or a 5 day one, you will get the same deal.

Bike it Now! bikes are without doubt the highest specced bikes available on the trail. The Trek Roscoe 7's, with 27+ wheels and tyres make for a smoother, easier ride on the trail.  All bikes come with a helmet, bottle holder, two side mounted panniers, puncture resistant tyres, ergonomic hand grips, a wireless cycle computer and plush padded seats plus a dual density gel seat cover. The bikes have front suspension, hydraulic disc brakes and high spec Shimano components.  We also have the latest Merida E bikes, MTB, Step through style and from September 2024 Full Suspension; we are the experts on the hire and retail of E Bikes. Your children will ride very cool Roscoe 24's and 20's these come with a helmet and wireless computer. We also have; baby seats(Yepp), tow behinds (Weehoos) and sit in trailers. 

Our full cycle retail shop provides you with all those accessories you may have forgotten or may decide you need. If you have your own bikes we have a full workshop for those little fixes.

We did the 3-day tour for the Otago Rail Trail and it was fantastic. The scenery was incredible and the package put together by Bike It Now was fantastic. The bikes were great and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. It was quite cool at the end of April but fairly pleasant most of the day (mornings were cold). We went with traditional bikes which was challenging at times. For most people I would recommend an eBike. The 3-day tour is definitely manageable with eBikes and the overall tour is well worth doing for beautiful scenery and some great bridges, viaducts and tunnels along the way.  Hellisjack  29th April 2024
