Oturehua Landscape Beautification Plan

  • Tuesday Nov 19 2024

Work is underway to make a start on another beautification plan, this time at Oturehua.

The Trust has completed the installation of the new toilet at Kokonga and the new carpark area, complete with bollards and the installation of the old large white wooden gate to replace what was there in years gone by.

Now it is the time of Oturehua with the community approved new landscape plan. Our handyman, Bob Thomas is making another replica gate to be placed beside the trail. There will be an old railway wagon placed on tracks beside the trail opposite the planned old replica station shelter which will be fitted out with tales told by locals to add to the history as we welcome you to the area.

As shown, there will be a new carparking and plantings to finish the area.

If you like what we are doing and want to support us with our volunteer work, you can by purchasing a passport or making a donation as it all helps. Have a great experience on our trail!
